Frente al Parque Central y sobre el elegante Paseo del Prado se alza una joya que ha visto pasar tres siglos de historia: el Hotel Inglaterra, el alojamiento en activo más antiguo de Cuba y hoy Monumento Nacional.

Fundado el 23 de diciembre de 1875 por el arquitecto Juan de Villamil, el Inglaterra nació de la unión del mítico café El Louvre y el Hotel Americana. Desde entonces, su fachada majestuosa y su atmósfera señorial han sido testigos de la evolución de la ciudad.

Remodelado a lo largo de los años, el hotel conserva su estilo neoclásico y su decoración sevillana original, con rejas y azulejos de 1875 que parecen susurrar historias a quienes los contemplan. Cada rincón destila autenticidad: desde las losas del portal hasta las mesas del restaurante, decoradas por artistas cubanos.
